It Takes Little to Be Big

Being a Big has helped me be able to call Holy Cross home. I’ve been with Jaxsen for 4 years and he really is like my little brother. He and his family have helped me feel comfortable in the Worcester area and I can depend on them just as much as Jaxsen can count on me. It’s been a rewarding experience!

In the three years that I have been matched with Destiny, we have both grown and changed in many ways thanks to our shared friendship. Spending time talking to her always reminds me how important it is to slow down, to be intentional about making time for fun, and how much laughter can help me when I am feeling low. One of my favorite memories with Destiny is when we visited the Museum of Science in Boston, and she encouraged me to skip around the museum all day long rather than walk—I couldn’t help but follow her lead.

I’ve been a “Big” for nearly two years now with BBBSCM.  Our Match Support Specialist did a fabulous job of making a great match.  The team is a great support and has group events and ideas of activities.  I’m so pleased to be a part of such a great group!

The organization’s purpose is obviously noble and has been a pleasure to be a small part of it.  They do a really good job in setting matches up and then providing support and regular feedback along the way.  The experience has been very fulfilling and I really appreciate everything BBBS of Central Mass & Metrowest does for me, my little Brother, and the community we all serve!
